Delete your Velvet Voice account

This is permanent. It cannot be undone.

What this removes: your profile, every voice recording you have made — intros, messages, board posts, bottle messages — and the audio files themselves, every photo you uploaded, your stored location, your conversations and connections, and the hash of your phone number. Your conversations disappear for the people on the other side of them too.

What we keep, and why: payment records, because the law requires a business to keep records of what it was paid, and any report another member has filed about your account, so that deleting an account cannot be used to erase a complaint. Both are named in the Privacy Policy.

Step 1 of 2 — prove it is your account

Leave the password blank if you sign in with Google — the emailed code is enough.

Step 2 of 2 — confirm

We have sent a code to the email address the account was registered with. Entering it deletes the account immediately.

Prefer not to use this form?

Email privacy@mescomp.online from the address your account is registered with, with the subject Delete my account and your handle in the body. We will do it by hand within 30 days.

You can also delete less than everything

You do not have to delete the account to get rid of content. Inside the app you can leave any conversation, which destroys the messages and the audio on both sides, and you can remove a photo or re-record a voice intro at any time.
